After hearing Rick Perry forgive himself and the Lizard of Oooze of all sins every done or considered and pronounce themselves redeemed in the eyes of the Lord, I am listening to Newt right now. My autonomic nervous system has jumped into high alert. I feel the need to defend my life from an inchoate and profound threat as the vocal tone and facial motions slither throughout my organism and register within my brainstem. I am caused to choke back the vomit that panic brings on. I think of Huckleberry Finn; the Duke and the Dauphin come to mind. The charlatans and the ignoranti, the human being at its most primitive and alarming; this is the American version of the liederhosen movement in Germany in the 1930s. The Tenth Amendment now stands for the freedom to re-enslave and deny citizen rights to the Xenos, very much its function for centuries. The civil rights acts of 1964 weren’t about loving the other or even one another; it was about insuring justice, equal rights for all citizens of the country. A simple message: You are welcome to your hatred as long as it isn’t harming anyone other than yourself. Now we will return to state enforced hatred.
